Rietumu Bank and the charity foundation "Nākotnes Atbalsta Fonds" (Future Supporting Fund) founded by it participated in the campaign “Angels Above Latvia”, donating a significant amount to the treatment of children in the amount of 50,000 euros, which allows the campaign to get significantly closer to the goal of this year campaign – to help 187 children throughout Latvia.

The tremendous work of the “Angels Above Latvia” campaign team cannot fail to arouse admiration and pride at the same time. Currently, the total amount of donations has reached 452,623.05 euros, which allows to hope that the goal set at the beginning of the campaign will be achieved this year as well.

Every resident and company can participate in the campaign and donate for the treatment of children until January 31. The donated amount will allow the children to take safer steps, express words, play with friends without pain, but - most importantly - to be healthy and happy.

“Children are the future of our Latvia. Rietumu Bank clearly understands this, because our first charity events 20 years ago were focused on children medicine, which remained the focus of our attention for all the following years. Today, our bank and the foundation founded by it are happy to join the “Angels Above Latvia” campaign, and help experienced doctors assist children who are fighting medical issues with our donation, and we rank among the biggest supporters of the project. I am sure that we will continue to achieve positive results if we fight together. I hope that our example will inspire other entrepreneurs and encourage them to focus on supporting children medicine, to remember and appreciate how important this is. And since we are a bank for corporate clients, I also invite our clients and other companies to get involved and donate to this important project,” says Jelena Buraja, Chairman of Rietumu Bank.

“Angels Above Latvia” campaign is still a little short so that all children can receive the necessary help, it was important for us to contribute. These are our Latvian children who need support. We must not allow their health and future to be in jeopardy. This donation was not previously planned, and I am pleased that the decision to help was made in less than an hour said Inga Šīna, the Chairman of the Board of the "Nākotnes Atbalsta Fonds" foundation.
