As an additional service to cardholders of Corporate, Gold, Platinum, Jurmala cards Rietumu offers a travel insurance certificate covering medical expenses and incidental travel expenses during a trip abroad. The insurance certificate is provided by the company AAS "BALTA". The insurance certificate is avalable for the cardholders in electronic format in the internet bank.

The coverage is valid only on a trip outside the home country.
During one trip, you can be abroad for 50 consecutive days with Business, Gold, Platinum and Jūrmala payment cards, the total number of insured days abroad during the year is not limited.
For holders of Business and Gold payment cards, insurance is valid if travel fee is paid with JSC Rietumu Banka payment card.
Insurance for Platinum and Jūrmala cards includes also family members (spouses and children).
It is also possible to get insurance for sports for an additional fee.
Purchase and price protection insurance is valid if the payment for goods is made with Jūrmala payment card.
