Mobile Digipass on Windows Phone for Rietumu Customers
10-Jun-2015 / Products & Services Rietumu bank launches special application for Windows Phone OS smart phones.
The new application — Digipass for Mobile – is a virtual digipass allowing customers to get full remote access to their accounts.
Earlier in 2014, Rietumu has already implemented a similar virtual digipass for iPhone and iPad and now similar works are taking place over the development of Android application.
Digipass for Mobile is a virtual analogue of the well-reputed "physical" Digipass Calculator recognized by bank clients that generates both a one-time password to log into the Internet banking system and a unique digital signature for outgoing payments.
Thus, by using virtual digipass Rietumu customers can get a full access to their accounts via the Internet, as well as give orders to the bank by phone and fax.
"From now on the owners of Windows OS telephones may leave their security tokens and calculators at home", Rietumu senior vice president Eugene Dugaev says. "This new application is not only convenient, but also, that is as much important, is extremely reliable. Digipass for Mobile, like other our technological solutions, is distinguished by the highest degree of safety. We apply the highest standards to ensure that our customers always feel comfortable and confident while communicating with the bank".
According to Eriks Eglitis, Country Manager of Microsoft Latvia, Microsoft is committed to empowering people to get more done seamlessly and with the device one feels most comfortable with. "We are very happy with Rietumu application in our fast-growing Windows Phone ecosystem. Now with Rietumu bank app on Windows Phone, our users will have an all-in-one and secure experience with accessing bank accounts and making bank transactions on the go, anywhere and anytime,” says Eglitis.
Application is available at Windows Store named iRietumu Digipass.
