This page will guide you through the bank account opening process.
- We recommend visiting the bank personally (although, it is not required). You are welcome to schedule a meeting in advance. Latvia is an EU Member state with stable and fast growing economy. Direct flights from major European cities are available. Arrival of discount airlines EasyJet and RyanAir has made travelling to Riga much cheaper.
- You will then print the bank account application forms, complete them add necessary documents and mail them to Rietumu Bank in Latvia.
- There is a one-time account opening fee of €100 (Euro) for Private or Business bank account.
- For corporate accounts minimum balance of € 10 000 (or equivalent in another currency) is required to avoid monthly maintenance fees.
- According to our Know-Your-Customer policy as well as European and international regulations, we may ask you to provide documentation on the origin of the funds as well as supporting documentation of declared nature of your business and account transactions, e.g. description of products or services provided, key customers & suppliers, actual place of business, related financial documentation, etc. Failure to provide this information may result in rejection of your account application.
