Follow these steps to apply for Private Bank Account
in Rietumu Bank.
The quickest way to open an account is to get in touch with a closest bank's representative office in France, Romania, Russia or other countries or visit our main office in Riga, Latvia.
Make sure to have with you:
- Valid identification document, e.g passport or National ID card;
Alternatively, you may apply by post
Applying by post is more time consuming and requires certifications with Notary and Apostille.
You can fill in the forms right in the PDF document on the screen and then print out final document ready for signing; If characters that you're typing in appear scrambled or incorrect, please update your Acrobat Reader to the latest version;
Add certified identity documents
- If applying by post, please enclose certified and Apostilled copy(-ies) of the passport(s) of the account signatory(-ies). You may certify copy of your passport at any representative office of Rietumu Bank.

According to our Know-Your-Customer policy, we may ask you to provide documentation on the origin of the funds as well as supporting documentation of declared nature of your business and account transactions, e.g. description of products or services provided, related financial documentation, etc. Failure to provide this information may result in rejection of your account application. We reserve the right to refuse any account application without further explanation.

When we receive original documentation, your account application will be forwarded for approval.
Approval takes from 1 to 3 business days. If your application is approved, you will receive your IBAN banking details and you can proceed with the initial transfer (in any major currency).
As soon as account is paid, we will send the Banking Package containing all necessary information for operating the account.
We use courier mail (TNT or DHL Worldwide) for worldwide shipping of the documents. Shipping fee depends on the destination and usually does not exceed € 60.
