Being World Elite cardholder, you get AXA Travel Insurance international insurance providing coverage for the wide range of insurance events as well as high reimbursement limits. The insurance is also applicable to your family members: spouse and / or children aged less than 25.

Delayed Flight/Missed Connection


Provides coverage for essential purchases in the event that the travel is delayed for more than 4 hours. This coverage pays for real expenses incurred by the insured and that have not been reimbursed by the carrier.
Reimbursement is made per group of covered persons for essential purchases on basis of the receipts (i.e. not a lump sum) for meals, refreshments, additional travelling and accommodation expenses if the delay exceeds 4 hours in the journey or the connection through:
  • Delay or cancellation of the booked and confirmed journey.
  • Denial of boarding by the airline company due to overbooking on the booked and confirmed journey.
  • Late arrival of a connecting journey causing the traveler to miss the onward connection.
  • Late arrival (more than 1 hour) of public transport, charged to the card, causing the traveler to miss the flight.


    Missed Departure


Provides coverage for meals, refreshments, additional travelling and accommodation expenses if the insured arrives too late to commence his journey as a result of: a) breakdown or accident of the car or public conveyance in which the insured is travelling; b) cancellation or curtailment of public transport due to adverse weather condition, strike or industrial action or mechanical breakdown, failure or accident.

Delayed/Lost Luggage

Provides coverage in the event that luggage is delayed (more than 4 hours) or lost (more than 48 hours) or is never returned during any trip. Reimbursement is made per group of covered persons, for the costs of emergency purchases of necessary replacement clothing and toiletries on basis of the receipts (i.e. not a lump sum) if cardholder’s luggage fails to arrive within 4 hours (delayed) after arrival at destination.

There is an additional extended amount to cover replacement of emergency purchases per group of covered persons if luggage fails to arrive within 48 hours (Lost). If after 30 days the luggage is not returned to the customer by the carrier, the insurer will pay an additional amount to cover the luggage itself and its contents per group.

Valuation of the goods:
• Damage during the first year following the date of purchase: 75% of the net purchase price;
• Damage during the second year following the date of purchase: 65% of the net purchase price;
• Damage during the third and subsequent years: 55% of the net purchase price.

Hospitalisation Abroad

Provides coverage for the hospitalisation in the event of accident and illness while travelling abroad and offers a daily indemnity per day/per covered person in hospital for maximum 30 days, during a trip abroad of maximum 60 consecutive days.

Medical Expenses

Provides coverage for the medical expenses in the event of accident or illness while travelling abroad. Reimbursement or direct payment of the medical expenses encountered following an accident or illness during any trip abroad of maximum 60 consecutive days. Coverage includes hospital and nursing home expenses and repatriation to country of domicile on medical grounds agreed and organised by the assistance company.

Third Party Liability

Provides coverage for the financial consequences of public liability while travelling abroad if the Covered Person causes injuries or damage to a third party.

Travel Accident

Provides coverage in the event of an accident causing death or permanent invalidity. Coverage (lump sum) is granted for loss resulting from Accidental Death or Permanent Invalidity occurring during any travel (in country and abroad) by public means of transport and / or during stay abroad (up to 60 consecutive days). Insurance includes also reimbursement of the costs of search and repatriation to country of domicile of the mortal remains up to 30,000 €.

Travel Cancellation/Curtailment

Provides coverage in the event that a trip (in country or abroad) was cancelled due to serious illness, accident, or death in the family, or damage to the cardholder’s residence or office.
Insurance will reimburse the covered person for the costs of cancellation of the booked voyage or holiday (in country or abroad) prior to departure or curtailment (early return) during the trip in case of:

  • heavy illness, accident or death of the cardholder, spouse, partner or children or any family member up to the second degree (grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, brother/ sister/ in law, stepsons, stepdaughters, father in law, mother in law)
  • major damage to cardholder’s owned property resulting from theft, fire or natural perils.

    Purchase Protection


Provides coverage in the event that the goods purchased with the card are stolen or damaged. In the event of theft or accidental damage (external) to a good worth at least 100 Euro bought new with the card within 60 days of purchase, the insurer will reimburse the repair or the price paid for the good.

Handbag and Wallet

Provides coverage by reimbursing the purchase price of a wallet and/or handbag following an aggravated theft when the wallet and/or handbag is stolen together with the card, without exceeding the original purchase price of the stolen item (aggravated theft means: theft with violence, threatening of violence, or break-in).

Keys and Papers

Provides coverage if the cardholder’s official personal documents (passport, national identity card, driving license, car registration documents, credit and debit cards) and/or personal keys (main residence and vehicle) are stolen with aggression. The insurer will reimburse up to € 300 for the administrative cost to replace the personal documents and/or personal keys.

Collision Damage Waiver (Deductible)

Provides coverage for cardholder’s liability (deductible stipulated under the rental contract) in case of damage or theft of a rental car for which the cost has been paid with the card.
Minimum claim of 75 €.

Sports Equipment

Provides coverage of replacement costs up to the original purchase value of any sport equipment that has been bought new with the card during 12 months after purchase following:

  • Aggravated theft of sports equipment while under care and custody of cardholder through assault while in public or at sports facility.
  • Aggravated theft of sports equipment through break-in at hotel, vacation rentals or at sports facility.
Up to an extra 150 € for rental of equipment to substitute items stolen while on holiday (a maximum of 5 days rental). Excludes professional sports equipment, motorized sports equipment, hunting equipment and bicycles. Police report required. Minimum purchase price 75 €.
